What is Abide Side by Side?

Abide Side by Side is a 12 week Bible study that is designed to be used as a discipleship tool for young women. In a world that is wandering away, let's draw close to the heart of Jesus together and learn what it means to truly abide in Him!

Rachel Kendall shares her beautiful story of redemption by the life-changing grace of God through this touching and practical guide teaching you how to draw close to Jesus. This book is for anyone who is looking to grow deeper in their faith! Whether you've wandered away from Jesus and aren't even sure how to take that first step back, or if you're new to faith and aren't sure where to start, this book will have such a powerful impact on your life! Each week points you to God's Word, along with practical steps to take.

During the 12 week study, we will cover topics such as heart issues, forgiveness, redemption, turning from sin, choosing the right friends, recognizing the lies from the enemy and understanding God's truth, abiding in Jesus in a deeper way through prayer, worship, and His Word, and learning to go out and make disciples!

This book is for anyone who is looking to grow deeper in their faith! Whether you've wandered away from Jesus and aren't even sure how to take that first step back, or if you're new to faith and aren't sure where to start, this book will have such a powerful impact on your life!

The book is written with young women in mind, but women are using this to disciple women of all ages! If you are wanting to walk through a Bible study with someone, I'd encourage you to order the book and read through it, praying for God to lay someone on your heart.

What is Discipleship?

Discipleship can sound big and scary, but I like to think of it as simply linking arms with someone else and loving on them, encouraging them, pointing them to truth in God's Word, and running to the heart of Jesus together!

What if I don't feel Equipped to Disciple Someone?

I recently sat in a room full of mature believers of all ages, and I can assure you they ALL felt insecure about this! The great news is you don't have to know it all or have all the time in the world or be an eloquent speaker to disciple someone. I think any believer who is actively growing in their relationship with the Lord can be used by Him to pour into the life of someone else! We know that Jesus called us to go out and make disciples, teaching others about Him. The great thing is that whatever He calls us to do, He will equip us for! If you feel insecure in this area or don't know where to start, I'd encourage you to take the 7 week women's discipleship course that walks you through overcoming fears and objections. The goal is to encourage and equip you to go out and make an eternal difference in the lives of others!

How Should I Ask Someone to Do this Study with Me?

If you want to disciple someone else who may not be as far along in their spiritual walk as you are, don't make it big or scary. You could simply say, "Hey, I found this Bible study and thought we could do it together. Would you be interested in going through this with me and meeting together for coffee each week for 30-45 minutes to talk about it?"

It doesn't have to be scary! Keep it casual but be intentional!
